The first Comet son to be utilized in the Polish breeding program, BADR BEDR covered one season at Michalow in 1965. Of the eight foals born the following year, two sons and four daughters would find their way into breeding programs throughout Europe and North America. The best of his daughters retained at Michalow was Dratwa, who founded an important branch of the Semrie dam line in Poland through her beautiful daughter Draperia and her Derby winning granddaughter Dalida. The athletic build and good type of BADR BEDR were greatly admired by the French Commision in 1971, who promptly purchased him for the National Stallion Depot. There, BADR BEDR was bred to many of the best racing mares in the country, siring several daughters of merit. His influence can now be found in many of the top race and performance horses throughout Europe and the Middle East.
