Venerated as the "Legend of Janow", "the immortal beauty" and most notably as the "Queen of Poland", BANDOLA was a legendary Arabian mare whose beauty, nobility and great individuality earned her unparalleled fame around the world with Arabian breeders and enthusiasts. The dam of 16 foals, the last incredibly at age 25, BANDOLA was a remarkably consistent producer of superlative stallions and highly valued broodmares, all blessed with outstanding phenotype and her extraordinary longevity. An absolutely transfixing beauty, BANDOLA was undoubtedly the queen of her domain, enchanting all who new her with distinctive nobility, exquisite refinement, dry, lean and substantial constitution, exemplary structure and an ethereal confidence best observed in her large, luminous and beguiling eyes. Her breeder, Roman Pankiewicz, recalls BANDOLA in the following way, "Of all the beautiful daughters of Witraz at Albigowa,  BANDOLA was unique, in that she combined great beauty with a large frame. It seemed her power and determined individuality were solid proof of her genetic potential, as along with her hint of masculinity, BANDOLA was predestined to become a great mother  of stallions. As with each beauty, BANDOLA was a bit vain. She always enjoyed being admired, charming visitors with her looks and distinction. She did however have a very independent character, always looking for ways to do things which were forbidden to her. "  BANDOLA was put rest on her 35th birthday, and was honored as the first mare to be enshrined in Janow's hallowed Park of Legends.
