Polish Nationals Leading Sire
Polish Leading Racehorse Sire |
As the undisputed "Sire of Champions", PALAS must be considered the most successful
outcross stallion to be utilized in the modern Polish breeding program. Born at Tersk of primarily Egyptian lineage, PALAS firmly established the Saklawi I sire line (of
international Sire of Significance Nazeer) in Poland with resounding success, which extends now into the fifth generation. Nicking well with a wide cross section of mares from each of the famed Polish dam lines,
PALAS gained notoriety with scores of world-class get produced at each of the four State Studs. His exotic type, extreme refinement, magnificent tail carriage,
regal presence and dynamic trot were all essential elements in the "Diamond Cross" when mated with the progeny of Negatiw and Bandos, a strategy which
continues to produce the internationally renowned Saklawis of Poland. Though criticized by many international breeders for his less than perfect
conformation, PALAS was nonetheless a horse of superior Arabian type with a perfectly shaped and chiseled head, large dark, eyes,
small, tight ears, a luminescent, milky-white coat, substantial strength of build, flamboyant tail carriage and an effortless ground covering trot accented by
graceful animation and suspension. |
