A rare daughter of
the Egyptian import Nil, PANEL was valued by the Russian breeders as one of
the first important Tersk broodmares to combine the beauty, elegance and
refinement of Egypt with the superior conformation and athletic ability of the
Soviet foundation stock. PANEL was a characteristic Saklawi - beautifully typical,
elegantly aristocratic, classically refined, harmoniously designed and athletically proficient
-who, like her sire, was lost during her peak production (at age 14). Despite
her abbreviated breeding career, PANEL's legacy of highly prepotent sons
and meritorious daughters has secured her place in the annals of Arabian breed history as
a mare of tremendous international influence.
