TARASZCZA
1937 Grey Mare
Bred by Janow Podlaski
Measurements: 151-178-19
Evacuated to Russia at the age of two along with the rest of the Janow herd at the onset of World War II, TARASZCZA became a prized broodmare at Tersk, ranking just behind fellow confiscate Mammona as the most influential dam in the breeding program. Of her 18 foals, three daughters, Operetka, Nitochka and Teplitsa, and one son, Negatiw, would leave a lasting impact on Arabian breeding around the world. TARASZCZA was prized for her excellent structure and rare desert beauty - as a mare of great refinement, she was widely admired for her graceful femininity and aristocratic elegance, traits for which her multi-generational progeny are also highly esteemed. Her distinguishing characteristic was the famous "bloody side", a remarkable color pattern that often occurs in her female descendants.
